Coffee and Carats 002 with Angie and Ramon of
Love and Flowers by Angie
I’m so excited to share with you this month’s vendor. As a follower and fan of theirs for a year now, I truly feel like a part of the family. Not by anything I’ve done, but by how they care for their followers, their clients, and friends. From behind the scenes of styling gorgeous florals for weddings to the photos of their ranch they are building, as if we are all a part of their family and journey. I’m so grateful Ramon and Angie opened their home and their hearts for this, and I can’t wait for you to take a peek!
When I asked Angie what her usual coffee order from Starbucks, she replied toffee nut latte then asked what my favorite cupcake flavor. So there I was stepping foot into her beautiful home, and served a gluten free raspberry cupcake. I think I got a little taste of heaven that day.
It was their family feel that their business puts forward that really made me want to interview them. As a business owner, wife, and mom myself this is serious goals- weaving family values in with my business so everyone feels a part of the family too. Maybe it was how their three sweet sons gave me a tour of their home, or helped me feed the goats, or maybe it was when Angie pointed out how her father helped build the patio furniture we were chatting over… I’m telling you, this family is seriously walking the walk of family priorities and bringing that into their business.
I learned that Angie originally went to school for interior design, and it came by no surprise as we walked through their gorgeous ranch. Before Love and Flowers by Angie there was Flores de Papel by Angie; her paper flowers were gaining recognition and featured by places like Martha Stewart and Pottery Barn. When she began receiving requests for additional fresh flower designs for clients it evolved into the fresh, romantic flower goodness that is Love and Flowers by Angie today. The dream they are working towards is growing their own flowers on their land to source the florals for their clients.
Although full-time law enforcement, Ramon is a steady force behind the business. He aids in flower pickups, building installations, and provides a consistent source of encouragement for Angie. This business is truly a family affair!
The most frequently asked question from brides? The minimum. Angie recommends having an idea in mind of your floral budget because your florist might just have a minimum to place an order.
I hope you enjoyed this family oriented behind the scenes of Love and Flowers by Angie as much as I did! If you are planning a Bay Area wedding, especially a Carmel, California wedding, and in love with their romantic florals, I highly recommend checking out her site for more information!
Araka is a wedding photographer temporarily located in Monterey, California. Based out of Augusta, Georgia she loves serving brides in the Bay Area, Georgia, and all along the east coast.
